The Purpose of TWIN

• To honor women who have excelled in their fields and made significant contributions to industry in executive, managerial and professional roles.
• To salute corporations whose policies and practices encourage high achievement by women and provide equal advancement opportunities for women of diverse backgrounds.
• Serve as the major fundraiser for the Women's and Children's Alliance. Funds raised help the WCA continue to provide comprehensive supportive services to women and their children victimized by domestic and sexual violence.
• Provide an opportunity for women to network.

How can your company participate?

Upon joining the Corporate Pillars program, you can nominate one of the exceptional professional women in your company. Nominees for the TWIN Award must meet the following criteria:

• Nominee must be an employee who occupies a management, executive, or professional position with your organization.
• Nominee must be employed by your company for at least one year, and have worked in her chosen career path for at least three years, and be an Idaho resident.
• Nominee must have made an outstanding professional contribution to her chosen career path and/or your organization, exceeding the normal scope of her position.

To honor the women chosen, a luncheon is held annually. The highlight of the luncheon is a video showing each Honoree responding to questions regarding their career. Each Honoree will receive a crystal paperweight, a TWIN pin, and a proclamation from the Mayor of Boise. The Honorees' photos will be displayed in the TWIN commemorative book, the Idaho Statesman, and on the WCA website.
