Volunteers are a truly special part of the Women’s and Children’s Alliance. Our success is a direct result of people like you.
Many of our volunteer opportunities are listed below. For more information on volunteering, please call Tami Fisher at 343-3688 ext. 41. The first step in volunteering is to attend one of our monthly volunteer orientation and tour. To sign up, click here.

HEALING BEGINS WITH HOPE BREAKFAST: Each year the WCA holds a free fundraising breakfast called Healing Begins with Hope. All proceeds from the event directly support the operation of the WCA’s secure shelters. In order to make the event a success, we need volunteers to be Table Captains, to help with event planning and to assist the day of the breakfast.
ADOPT-A-ROOM: The WCA takes great care to make our shelters warm, inviting places for our residents. Volunteer groups choose a shelter room to paint and redecorate with new comforters, sheets, towels, curtains, wall hangings, etc.
OTHER GROUP PROJECTS: The WCA welcomes groups that would like to do a service project. There are many options to fit the needs of your group, from gardening to food drives. We do need advance notice for these kinds of volunteer opportunities.
