When Lysi and Scott Bishop started a fundraiser for the WCA through the Cauze app, they couldn’t have known what an impact it would make. Cauze, “lets you give to any charity you care about the moment you’re inspired to do so” (cauze.com). This app allows friends, peers, etc. to follow each other and see which nonprofits they’re donating to and get involved themselves.
This act of giving was noticed by Jim Paxton and Kyle Mueller at Snake River Pool and Spa, who then attended a party of the Bishops to give them a check to go towards this fundraiser for the WCA. Lysi put the check in her pocket, and was shocked when she looked at it later to see that it was for $1,000!
Paxton and Mueller explained that they had been looking for a cause to support, and were inspired by the Bishops and the WCA’s work to give. We can never know how our actions will inspire others in our community to act. We are so grateful for the Bishops and Snake River Pool and Spa for supporting our mission and being our partners in helping everyone thrive in safe, healthy relationships.
