Digital Outreach Resources Toolkit

Awareness Months/Days and Community Engagement Campaigns Throughout the Year

There are several ways that you can help the WCA contribute to the vision of fostering a community that thrives in safe and healthy relationships.

Educational Presentations
Through our outreach presentations, we work to educate the public about the characteristics of domestic abuse, sexual assault, the impact of domestic violence in the workplace and healthy relationships. We believe that education is key to breaking the cycle of domestic abuse and sexual assault in our community. Contact [email protected] for more information.

Outreach Tabling Events
We bring our outreach table to events including health fairs, community resource fairs, volunteer info nights, and conferences. Let us know if you have an event you’d like us to come to, and we will bring materials targeted to your audience. We also have outreach kits “To Go” — so if just want the materials, we will take your order and prepare the kit for you. Our outreach materials include WCA Brochures and shoe cards, information about volunteer opportunities and events, information about WCA services, and branded items for your attendees.

Tables are run by friendly, trained outreach volunteers and staff members. If you’re interested in becoming an outreach volunteer, please attend a Tour and fill out a volunteer application. We’ll contact you to schedule a training session as positions become available.

Would you like brochures (English or Español) or shoe cards (English or Español) to display in your office, house of worship, or community center? Contact the Outreach Team to order these free resources.

For printable resources, logos and more, visit our Marketing Materials page.

Community Education Nights
Provide information to the community about domestic abuse and the services of the WCA.

In Her Shoes
‘In Her Shoes’ is a scenario-based training designed to help participants view an abusive relationship from the victim’s perspective.

The Clothesline Project

Host a visual display of survivor stories through painted t-shirts for Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Help us build engagement and spread the word.
