Justice League 1 On September 29, four teams of first responders gathered together for Justice League, the annual softball tournament at Willow Lane Athletic Complex in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The Ada County Paramedics, Ada County Sherriff’s Office, Ada County Prosecutors and Boise Police and Fire faced off in a tournament with the Ada County Sherriff’s Office coming out as the winner. All teams sold raffle tickets in support of the WCA for months prior to their coworkers, employees, family and friends. The fourth annual event featured an exciting selection of raffle prizes from Campbell Tractor, the Morrison Center, Mai Thai and the Riverside Hotel. Our friends at Chick-fil-A generously donated 100 sandwiches for the event. More than $1,500 was raised in support of our mission through this fun event.

Justice League is an opportunity to honor our first responders who are so important to the clients served by the WCA. They help us continue our mission by providing vital community support to victims of domestic abuse.

Thank you to our teams, volunteers, raffle prize donors, and Chick-fil-A for their generosity!

In 2015, Ada County Prosecutor Jan Bennetts and her staff issued a challenge to Ada County Sheriff Stephen Bartlett and the Ada County Sheriff Employees’ Association to face off on the softball diamond.

They said “bring it on” — especially since all proceeds benefit the Women’s and Children’s Alliance Shelter Fund. This year, the Ada County Paramedics Employee Association andmembers of the Garden City Police Department joined the Justice League.
