Students in the Cecil D. Andrus K-Kids Club made blankets for our young clients and delivered them to the WCA on May 22. Students went shopping for cheerful colored fleece and 15 students gave up their noon recess time and worked diligently for over a month to make 18 beautiful fleece blankets to donate to WCA and McMillian Elementary Community School. Students told us it was one of their favorite projects of the year! Thank you to these kind and hardworking students!
Cecil D. Andrus K-Kids Club is sponsored by the Meridian Kiwanis Club and has been planning, organizing and facilitating school and community projects for the past 22 years. The Club is comprised of all fifth grade students at Andrus Elementary and three “representatives” from each fifth grade classroom who meet with the club adviser, school counselor Judy Herman, once a month to plan projects.
