STINKER STORES PIECE OF HOPE CAMPAIGN 137,000 CHECK PRESENTATION
Helping children in our community access services they need to heal from domestic violence and sexual abuse
Boise, ID – On May 10, 2018, Stinker Stores will present over $137,000 to six Idaho domestic violence service providers, the recipients of the 2018 Piece of Hope Fundraising and Awareness Campaign to benefit children impacted by the trauma of domestic and sexual violence.
On April 9, 2018, the Women’s and Children’s Alliance (WCA) launched a collaboration with Stinker Stores and five other Domestic Violence service providers for the “Piece of Hope” fundraising and awareness campaign taking place April 9 to May 6, 2018, at all Stinker locations throughout Idaho.
During the campaign, customers at all Stinker locations donated funds and learned about organizations in or near their communities with programming that benefits children who have been impacted by domestic violence and/or sexual abuse.
The generosity of the Stinker customers exceeded expectations and surpassed the campaign fundraising goal by 30%. The $137,000 will be used to fund services and programs throughout the state that specifically focus on the children who are being exposed to violence in their homes or are being subjected to abuse themselves.
