The Eagle Canyon Endurance Ride, a horse endurance ride, raised $931 on April 28 in benefit of the WCA. Layne L., owner of a local consulting firm, manages the event every year in honor of her late friend, Susan “SueB” Newby, who died in a horse riding accident in 2008 in what many believe to be related to domestic violence.
