WCA’s shelter campus gained a new way to serve clients and their children. Donations from Albertson’s and Together Treasure Valley totaling $35,000 supplied funds for a basketball half court. “What an amazing contribution to our shelter campus,a space for families to gather outside together, enjoying the outdoors and each other – a place for children of all ages to play and their mothers to watch or even join in the fun,” says Bea Black.
On the morning of the ribbon cutting ceremony, John Colgrove, President of Albertsons Companies Intermountain Division, took the first shot on the new hoop. “Albertsons is proud to support the WCA and their mission to provide individuals and families with a safe environment in which to heal and the resources to advocate for themselves and their children to build better lives.”
This wonderful gift will allow our clients and their children another space to play and make lasting memories for years to come. Thank you to Albertson’s and Together Treasure Valley for making this a reality!
