A Message from Bea

Executive Director, WCA

March 25, 2020

With the stay-home order announced today by Idaho Governor Brad Little, I wanted to reach out to you all and let you know that we appreciate your support and wish you the best over the next 21 days. Please follow our social media and check out our website for helpful information.

But most importantly, I want to let you know that for those who need us, we are here. We know that staying at home is not always safe for everyone, and for those living in homes where relationships are unhealthy or worse–dangerous–I want to assure you that our critical services will continue without interruption.

  • Our Client Advocates are Available to anyone, from anywhere 24/7 by calling our hotlines (Domestic Abuse Hotline 208-343-7025 / Sexual Assault Hotline 208-345-7273)
  • The Ada County Court House is open and our Court Advocates are there to assist those seeking civil protection orders while complying with any Ada County recommendations and restrictions
  • Our Court Advocate team is also available for safety planning through telephonic appointments by calling 208-343-3688 ext 200
  • Our emergency and transitional shelters will continue to operate with trained client advocates there to support our residential clients
  • Staff at our Crisis Center at 720 W. Washington Street in downtown Boise can be reached by calling 208-343-3688, Monday – Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for those needing to talk to our Crisis Case Manager or receive information about our services

We have modified the way we will deliver some of the services we provide to reduce in-person contact, and are no longer accepting in-kind donations of any type for that same reason, however we will continue to provide critical services to those who need us. I want those who need us to know, you are not alone. We are still available 24-hours a day, 7 days a week. If you are in an emergency situation, please call 911.

Gratefully,

Bea Black

Executive Director
