Women’s and Children’s (WCA) Alliance Mission—Safety, healing and freedom from domestic abuse and sexual assault.

The WCA has been an important community partner for 110 years by providing shelter and supportive services to individuals impacted by domestic violence and/or sexual assault.  Services are provided at no cost and span a four-county service area representing 30% of the population of the state of Idaho. Since its founding, the WCA crisis program has evolved into one of the most vital, unduplicated, comprehensive programs in our community and region.


Case Manager

Full Time
The WCA, is seeking a compassionate, self-starter who is mission driven looking for meaningful work impacting the community as a Case Manager who serves as the primary point of contact for victims of domestic abuse and/or sexual assault seeking services and is directly involved in client-directed case planning. Must must be able to work independently and be able to collaborate as a team to assist clients with identifying their goals to achieve sustainability.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to maintain strict confidentiality and the understanding and aptitude for working with sensitive topics associated with diverse demographic and marginalized populations served and:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field.
  • Knowledge of basic case management principles and the ability to deal with the demands of working with clients in crisis.
  • Be a self-starter and able to work independently as well as work as a team and collaborate cross-departmentally as well as with community collaborators.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills along with excellent record-keeping and attention to detail skills.
  • Possess a working knowledge of Google Drive, Mail, and Sheets.
  • Ability to work within ethical standards established by the WCA and mandatory reporting laws and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to travel/drive to different locations for work purposes. Possess current driver’s license and proof of auto liability coverage to meet minimum required by the State of Idaho.

Clinical Services Supervisor (Manager)
Full Time
The WCA is seeking an engaging, compassionate, energetic, detail oriented, highly organized proven leader to manage and lead all aspects of the Clinical Program, including implementation of best practice approaches to therapy and quality assurance, staffing, reports, and curriculum. The Clinical Supervisor ensures clients and shelter residents are provided with a comprehensive, holistic program which addresses domestic abuse, sexual assault, and trauma. Conducts assessments; provides diagnosis; creates individualized clinical plans; offers individual, group, and family counseling; and links clients with other services as appropriate. Provides presentations to the community on the issues of domestic/sexual abuse and trauma. Supervises staff of licensed Clinicians and interns.
The successful candidate:

  • Licensed in the state of Idaho as an LCPC or LCSW and be an approved Registered Clinical Supervisor by the State of Idaho, Bureau of Occupational Licensing.
  • Five-plus years of clinical experience including crisis de-escalation and interventions
  • Two plus years of supervision, leadership, and management experience and proven clinical supervisory skills.
  • Possess knowledge and skills in individual, family, and group therapy.
  • Knowledge of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault and a good understanding of the impact of domestic abuse, sexual assault, and trauma and possess the ability to deal with the demands of working with clients in crisis.
  • Must be able to work as an individual contributor and as a team member with staff.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, organizational, research, analytical, presentation, interpersonal, recordkeeping, and customer service aptitude, skills and abilities. Being bilingual (preferably Spanish) is a highly preferred skill.
  • Experience facilitating educational and therapeutic groups.
  • Must be sensitive to the needs of people, spoken and unspoken, and be tolerant of diverse lifestyles and values.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong ability to maintain strict confidentiality and maturity to handle sensitive information with an understanding of and ability to maintain boundaries in a respectful manner.
  • Ability to travel/drive to different locations for work purposes. Possess current driver’s license and proof of auto liability coverage to meet minimum required by the State of Idaho.

Clinician
Full Time

The WCA is seeking a compassionate, client-focused, multi-talented licensed Clinician (LPC, LCPC, LCSW or LMSW) to join the team to provide comprehensive counseling services to clients in both the Shelter and community setting in support of our mission to foster a community where individuals thrive in safe, healthy relationships. Maintains a case load between 22 and 24 clients. Conducts thorough, comprehensive assessments; offer diagnosis as appropriate; and develop comprehensive, holistic, individualized treatment plans. Provides individual counseling to clients served by our Crisis Center and residential services. Facilitates educational, therapeutic, and support groups. Work closely with collateral treatment providers. Maintains charts and documentation for clinical and funding purposes. Completes provider applications for third-party payors as eligible. Testifies at legal hearings within the confines of professional confidentiality and with permission in the clients’ best interest or as required by law. Be proactive with the court system and be a visible force in the community for victims. Field phone calls from victims, families, and the community.

The successful candidate will:

  • Licensed as an LPC, LCPC, LMSW or LCSW.
  • Experience in individual, family, and group therapy as well as facilitating educational therapeutic groups.
  • Ability to work individually and as a member of a team.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and record-keeping skills.
  • Sensitive to the needs of people with diverse lifestyles and values.
  • Possess a good understanding of the impact of domestic and sexual violence, substance disorders, and co-occurring disorders.
  • Ability to balance the demands of working with clients in crisis.
  • Must be sensitive to the needs of people, spoken and unspoken and be tolerant of diverse lifestyles and values.
  • Possess a working knowledge of GSuite, Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • If driving on behalf of the WCA for work purposes must possess and maintain a current, valid driver’s license and proof of liability coverage to meet the requirements of the State of Idaho.
