WCA to present Joyce Stein Award at JUMP
On Thursday, Aug. 31, from 4-6 p.m., the WCA invites you to join in a special celebration as the WCA Board of Directors recognizes a community member who positively impacts the growth and advancement of women in our community.
Since 1980, The WCA has annually presented the Joyce Stein Award — the organization’s highest honor — in memory of civic leader Joyce Stein and her efforts to found the Women’s Center at what was then the YWCA.
The 2023 recipient will be announced this summer leading up to the event, which is free and open to the public. Special guest Gabriela Curtiz, a Boise State University student who has been involved with Gorongosa National Park in Mozambique, will also join the event as keynote speaker. She started working at the park in 2017 as an intern and will share information about its history and how it supports girls and women.
“We hope you will join us for this inspiring public event. All are welcome!”
