As community connectors, our Ambassadors volunteer their time by helping us get the word out about the services offered at the WCA. Our Ambassadors invite members of their communities to our WCA Mission Tour and bring groups together for us to come speak to. Additionally, they help host our Healing Begins with Hope event to bring people into the WCA’s story. By advocating for the WCA, our Ambassadors serve our vision to foster a community where individuals thrive in safe and healthy relationships.

The WCA Ambassadors wanted to have a more direct impact on our clients, so, as a group, they decided to create meaningful celebrations and moments for our residents through monthly shelter party packs. With these party packs, they have managed to find something wonderful to celebrate each month. From Earth Day planting projects and St. Patrick’s Day treats to Mom self-care goodie bags and ice cream making kits, WCA Ambassadors are making a caring and intentional impact on the lives of the women and children in shelter.

WCA Client Advocates and Shelter Managers have shared the overwhelming joy that these packs have created. We are grateful to have such a dedicated and caring team of volunteers to spread joy and compassion!

Below are photos of these packs and themes for each month. If you would like to become a WCA Ambassador reach out to Bre Young at: philanthropy@wcaboise.org
