Peace of mind can be achieved in so many ways. Some of the ways that we help our clients achieve peace of mind are obvious—like providing safe shelter to those who are escaping physically abusive relationships.

Other ways we can provide peace of mind are not so evident, like through our holiday sponsorship program and the Giving Tree in downtown Boise. Particularly for the parents seeking our services during this holiday time, knowing that they don’t have to worry about how to provide a holiday celebration to their children can provide peace of mind. The generosity of the holiday sponsors involved in this program brings our clients—and us—to tears as our volunteers help them when they come to pick up their gifts.

The same goes for all the items that we receive thanks to the support of our community through donations from tags on the Giving Tree located at the Boise Centre in the Grove Plaza. The items collected help ensure we are able to provide items to the client “store” in our shelter facility as well as items that we use to ensure a safe and healthy environment at both our shelter and crisis center. Clients know that their needs can be taken care of at no expense to them thanks to the support of our community.  Not worrying about having money to buy needed items also provides peace of mind.

For all these ways that our community allows us to provide peace of mind for those who seek our services, we are so grateful!

Wishing you peace of mind this holiday season.

Join us for Avenues for Hope from December 9 – 31, 2021. This campaign is about supporting nonprofits and school districts that provide housing and/or supportive services to low-income or homeless Idahoans.
In 2020 the leading cause of homelessness in Idaho was domestic violence. We participate in this annual campaign to raise awareness of critical housing needs across our State and to provide a way for our community members to help support those needs.
Check out our Avenues for Hope page here.
