Mai Thai Bar and Restaurant

IMG_1089At the WCA we have fantastic Corporate Pillars who continually remind us how generous our community is. We would like to highlight Mai Thai for being such an important corporate supporter.

Mai Thai Restaurant and Bar is a Thai and Asian Fusion restaurant providing the Boise community with some of the best food and deals in the Treasure Valley.

Giving back to those in need is a central part of Mai Thai Owner Billy Pothikamjorn’s philosophy in his daily life. For example any food left from Mai Thai’s daily buffet is taken to Boise’s homeless shelters.

Why support the WCA?  “We here at Mai Thai are blessed to be part of a community as amazing as Boise. The WCA’s emphasis on a thriving community based on safe and healthy relationships is a very admirable and notable cause. I really believe in the karma. I give to the people who deserve it. When you come on this earth you come empty handed and when you leave you are also empty handed. I believe as Buddha says it is destiny. One hundred percent. That is why we choose to give our continued support to the Women’s and Children’s Alliance.”Billy is known to say “anything for the kids” and is a frequent donor of gift cards and back to school items for our school-aged clients.

Billy and his team recently started a program of donating local sourced organic fresh vegetables and fruit to our secure shelter campus each week. Be sure to stop by Mai Thai to say hi to Billy and his amazing staff. They truly make the world a much better place. We are so grateful for Mai Thai’s support of our work and their compassion and generosity towards our clients.

Since Billy and his team began supporting the work of the WCA in 2012, they have donated thousands of dollars in restaurant gift cards and provided in-kind donations of things like the fresh produce and fruit, prepared food, hosted events to benefit the organization and so much more. In addition Mai Thai has donated $21,000 to help with the WCA’s direct client services. There are so many ways Billy and his team give to the WCA through its Corporate Pillars program. They are sincerely the best of the best.
