Domestic Violence Awareness Month

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and the WCA will be holding a joint press conference on September 29 at the Idaho Peace Officers’ Memorial at 10am. The WCA and other Domestic Violence service providers will be on site with information and awareness raising materials for our community members. Elected officials and community leaders from Ada and Canyon counties will also be in attendance.

“We are so grateful to be able to have the support of our elected officials and public agencies as we work together to raise awareness of the prevalence of domestic violence in the Treasure Valley. By coming together as a community, raising awareness, and educating our friends, neighbors, and co-workers, we can make our community a better and safer place to live and raise our families.” – Bea Black, WCA CEO
