Ruschman Sand Donation 2What a sand-tastic donation! Thank you so much to Ruschman Sand & Gravel for donating sand for our children’s sandbox at our shelter campus. Special thanks to the amazing group of volunteers who helped transport and unload the sand. We are thankful for your hard work and our kids will love it!

Ruschman Sand Donation 4

Since 1974, owner Maryln Ruschman has provided the Treasure Valley with sand, dirt, rocks and gravel. When the WCA contacted Maryln for a donation, she immediately said yes. Thanks to the dedication of some fabulous WCA volunteers, the sand was picked up and delivered within a week of arranging the donation.Ruschman Sand Donation 1

This was a valuable donation since playing in sand boxes improves children’s social skills, cognitive development, artistic expression and mathematical concepts. Thanks to Rushman Sand and Gravel and our amazing volunteers for helping develop the brains, hearts and minds of our young clients for years to come.
