Thank you to the ladies of the Kuna 5th Ward of the LDS Church. At one of their meetings, they hosted WCA outreach staff for a presentation about domestic abuse, how to recognize signs of abusive relationships, and how to help friends and family members who may have been affected.
The group hosted a donation drive of nonperishable food to restock the pantry at the WCA shelter, everything from snack items to kitchen staples like flour and sugar. The food will be much appreciated by the women in our shelter to provide nutritious meals for them and their children. In addition to the donation drive, the group painted affirmation rocks for shelter clients during the presentation. The rocks turned out beautifully and carry inspiring messages of hope and love.
