When I first began working with this client, she expressed feeling reserved and anxious about engaging in case management services. Each time I met with her, she took the lead on what she would like to discuss and how I could best support her on her journey. Over time, we were able to work together to build a supportive environment that helped her feel more comfortable engaging in case management services and sharing the difficulties she was facing.

Over the next few months, the client actively reached out and engaged with our Court Advocate team, sustained safe housing, and continued her journey in higher education. Additionally, she continued to work on maintaining healthy boundaries and relationships with those around her. During our time working together, I have continued to be so grateful
to witness and support this client in her healing journey.

Thank you, for believing in me, for giving me a chance, when no one else would. For listening with non judgement. For helping me to find my own voice. For listening when even I didn’t know what to say. For supporting me—thank you.
Thank you, for letting me be angry, for sitting with me as I cried.
Thank you, for giving me one more shoulder, for handing me a tissue. For giving me a chance to feel pretty, when the world felt so ugly. For letting me be a woman, unconditionally. For giving me a space to cook breakfast for my children.
Thank you for answering the phone. For making Christmas brighter, for coming back to my side, even after I had gone.
Thank you for echoing my words when I couldn’t find my voice.
Thank you for giving me the safe space to learn how to love myself, the way I so desperately needed.
