Corporate matching has long offered for-profit organizations the opportunity to give back to numerous non-profits doing a variety of importantLaura Honn - Philanthropy Manager work. At the WCA we are grateful to already receive numerous gifts including foundation grants, matched volunteer hours and fiscal matching for employee contributions. So many organizations with a local Treasure Valley stronghold have started doing what they can to give back.

The current health pandemic has caused many organizations to expand their fiscal corporate matching programs, some matching at a ratio of one-to-three–so a $1000 gift becomes a $3000 gift. At the WCA we hope to use this generosity to grow our corporate matching donations by making it easier for supporters to search and apply for a matched gift. We recently lined a great resource on the donation page of our website, that allows anyone to search for and learn about  on their company’s policy and process for corporate matching. Click here to go to our donation page.

Did you know that many organizations continue to match fiscal contributions once an employee has retired?  And in most cases matches are not determined by organizations size or location. We see education around available corporate matching as being a real opportunity to continue to support The WCA in its mission to bring safety healing and freedom from domestic abuse and sexual assault to all. If you would like to find out more please join me on Facebook Live on Wednesday, August 12 at 12 noon on our main WCA facebook page.
