24-Hour Domestic Violence Hotline: 208.343.7025 24-hour Rape Crisis Hotline: 208.345.7273 (RAPE)

The 11th Annual SSueB Logo 2020ueB 5K 10K honors the memory of  Susan “SueB” Newby and promotes healthy relationships while raising important funds for the WCA’s Endowment Fund.

With health and safety as our top priority during COVID-19, we will be modifying this year’s SueB to be a virtual event across our communities. The event will kick off October 4 at 1:00pm on WCA social media channels. You can run/walk the 5K or 10K anytime from October 4 – October 10.

100% of sponsor donations and participant fees support our Endowment Fund to ensure the WCA can maintain our services and serve our clients for many years to come.  During this time of uncertainty our programs are more vital than ever before. In April, domestic abuse related calls to our hotline increased by 194% compared to the same time last year. Home is not safe for all.

In order to continue the tradition of honoring the memory of Susan “SueB” Newby, our virtual event will still include all the usual festivities such as participating in a virtual warm up, wearing a bib number and receiving a t-shirt and finisher certificate to share with your friends and family digitally.

We will offer a selection of 5K and 10k courses around the Treasure Valley following meaningful local landmarks such as SueB’s memorial tree in Ann Morrison Park and the Wassmuth Center for Human Rights. Choose which course to run/walk when it best works for you! We also offer a real-time, innovative race day experience through RaceJoy which offers live tracking, progress alerts, and GPS mapping. This is a great opportunity to get your family, friends and coworkers outdoors in a fun, healthy, shared activity.

To register for our virtual 5K or 10K ($25 for the 5K and 35 for the 10K), please sign up here.
