The Prevention Perspective
As prevention educators, we hold space for conversations about changing our cultural and social norms so that we can live in a community where violence no longer exists. Read more about how fostering peace in our community is an important part of our prevention program.
The Philanthropy Files
Domestic violence is a primary cause of homelessness for women and families—and at the WCA, we know that safe and secure housing is a vital part of achieving safety for our clients. Avenues for Hope is a campaign to enhance resources for housing-related nonprofits, like the WCA, to help prevent homelessness in Idaho. Learn more about the campaign here.

Another way we reach vulnerable people is through posters that can be displayed in public bathrooms. We recently heard from Albertson’s corporate offices that they have these posters displayed in their women’s and men’s restrooms to reach people who may need our services.
Click here for a link to print posters if you know of somewhere that could benefit!
