May 2, 2013, was the first ever “Idaho Gives” day sponsored by the Idaho Nonprofit Center. This inaugural event was a day for nonprofits to tell their stories and share how their work enhances communities throughout our state. More than 500 nonprofits and charities across Idaho participated, including the WCA.
Close to 6,200 people made online donations to the participating nonprofits, with gifts totaling over $578,000. The WCA came in at eighth place in the large nonprofit category with 100 unique donors — 49 of whom were first time donors to the WCA.
