It’s December — the end of the year and the end of a decade. During the holiday seasons, one question I’m often asked is if this time of year is when we have more people reaching out for our services. In fact, the opposite seems to be true. What we find is that more people are working to hold the family together through the holiday and we see a rise in services after the new year into the first quarter. So, I want to thank all those who help us to support our clients throughout the year.
Many people look to make life-changes in the New Year and this holds true with many of those who make the decision to reach out to the WCA for information, for services, and for some—they may be reaching for a lifeline. We are here when those individuals are ready. If you or someone you know needs help, call the WCA’s 24-Hour Domestic Violence Hotline at 208-343-7025.
