I have to admit that I’m feeling a little conflicted as we enter June. There are so many things we should be celebrating now, but across the country people are hurting. The death of another Black human being at the hands of law enforcement has evoked so much pain–and I share that pain.

The WCA is here to serve everyone who needs help with domestic abuse or sexual assault services. We may not be doing the best job at sharing that message. Please help us spread the word that we are available for you—inclusive of all sexual orientations, gender identities, races and ethnicities.

Now more than ever, we need to show each other compassion.
