Our own WCA Child Care volunteer of seven years, Dahn Lyttle, was honored as the May recipient of Idaho’s Jefferson Award for Public Service, a prestigious national recognition system honoring community and public volunteerism in America.
Check out an interview with him by Fox 9 last month at this link.
KNIN Fox 9 selects a Jefferson Award winner each month, based on a pool of locally nominated applicants. Winners have the chance to attend the national Annual Jefferson Awards in Washington, DC in June.
The Jefferson Awards Foundation was founded in 1972 by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Senator Robert Taft Jr., and Sam Beard. To learn more and nominate your own Jefferson Award worthy volunteer, please click here.
