As a recipient of funds from the Idaho Council on Domestic Violence and Victim Assistance, the advisory board and granting agency for programs affecting victims of crime, a great deal of responsibility is placed upon reporting anonymous client demographics, and how individuals who seek our agency are served.
Quarterly, the Women’s and Children’s Alliance reports on these numbers to VOCA (Victims of Crime – Victim Assistance Grant). As an agency providing a variety of services to so many people, keeping an organized, consistent work flow of obtaining these numbers is imperative.
For the April-June quarter, the WCA program staff did an exceptional job recording services provided. It was reported 690 individuals were served, an increase from 572 the prior quarter. The WCA provided these clients with 7,484 services. With the increase in clients served, the program staff boasted an impressive 95% capture rate, a 3% rise from the earlier quarter.
These numbers not only reflect the hard work the WCA is doing serving victims of domestic and sexual violence, but also reveal how increasingly diligent our staff is on reporting these vital statistics. This was a very satisfying way to end the grant year.
As always, the WCA is beyond grateful for the funds from the Idaho Council on Domestic Violence and Victim Assistance. It is through the Council’s support we can continue our direct victim services, and as the above numbers show, is an evident necessity to this community.
