A message from Bea: July 2023

24-Hour Domestic Violence Hotline: 208.343.7025 24-hour Rape Crisis Hotline: 208.345.7273 (RAPE)

As we start into the first quarter of our new fiscal year, I am reflecting on the fact that this is also the start of my sixteenth year with the WCA! And what an exciting start to this new year for me, as I will be headed to Germany in August for several weeks to celebrate the wedding of our son. After the wedding, we will be taking some time for a vacation, planning to explore a few German cities along with
Odense, Denmark. Being 100% Norwegian, I am interested to spend some time in Denmark from which
Norway achieved its independence on May 17, 1814.

Planning a trip like this makes me grateful for the wonderful team that we have here at the WCA because I know that they will keep everything running smoothly in my absence. I am grateful every day for the dedication of our program staff, support staff, Senior Leaders, and dedicated Board of Directors.
With a return to in-person events, I hope you will think about joining me for one – or all – of the following that are planned for this current quarter. I will be back to enjoy the Joyce Stein reception, which will be even more special this year, given our keynote speaker.

Meanwhile, I hope you can stay cool as we head into what is starting out as the warmest month so far and into triple digits.
