A generous donation from Dahn Lyttle, Child Care Volunteer, provided the residents at Serena’s House a wonderful Thanksgiving meal. Dahn prepared and personally delivered turkey, mashed potatoes (kids favorite), peas, corn, rolls, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie – yum!
Dahn is a dedicated Child Care Volunteer who has been consistently volunteering on Wednesday evenings for over five years. Dahn reached out to me and asked if he could prepare and deliver Thanksgiving dinner to the residents in the shelter. Dahn stated that he wanted to take all the worry and work off of the residents, so he would cook and deliver the whole meal and the residents could just relax and enjoy their day. Dahn stated, “I love the organization and the children I work with. It was just a way to show my appreciation.”
