Two Men and a Truck has been an incredible Corporate Pillar and supporter of the WCA. For the last four years
this amazing moving company has assisted in helping our shelter clients move to new homes. They also assist us with picking up furniture and household items that are donated to the WCA, as well as sponsor donation drives at different times throughout the year for our clients. On top of all of that, Two Men and a Truck assists the WCA with important moving needs at our WCA shelter campus and at our administrative offices. They are rock stars in our world.
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Boise opened in June of 2012 with a fleet of two trucks and a staff of less than ten employees. According to Boise franchise owner Terry Bruns, the community’s acceptance has allowed them to grow tremendously over the last five years and they now operate a fleet more than ten trucks, and have a professional staff of over thirty employees in the Treasure Valley.
Bruns says of his supporting the WCA, “It is hard for me to say in words why we support the WCA, as it just seems like the right thing to do. I have been a supporter of the WCA for over 20 years, although before my Two Men and a Truck days it was mostly making donations, especially of items to be sold in the shop. I have long admired the work the WCA does to make our community a better place. I don’t think it can be overstated how big a difference it makes when everyone is secure and safe in their life. They can be happier and more productive, they then tend to help other people more and there is just a long chain reaction making our community a better place to live. It is heartbreaking to me when I think of anyone living their life in fear. I would love for everyone to be able to live life to their full potential without all the pitfalls that come with living in an abusive household.
Once again, it is hard to put into words but I actually feel fortunate we are able to help out and I consider it a privilege.
