New Police Cause Car for Domestic Violence

Today, the Boise Police Department is announcing the newest cause car to their fleet of patrol vehicles. And, this car is a Domestic Violence Awareness Vehicle. Even Better? It has the WCA logo on it. This car has long been a dream for the WCA, and it has taken the efforts of staff and the work of one of the very special WCA Ambassadors to bring this dream into reality. It represents amazing community partnerships and will bring invaluable awareness to our community.

“This purple ribbon car has long been a dream of ours and represents our strong relationship with our law enforcement partners. More importantly it provides the opportunity to raise awareness about the prevalence of domestic violence in our community and makes the connection about where individuals can go to get help—from law enforcement and from organizations like the WCA that provide critical services like safe shelter, counseling, court advocacy and other programs to help break the cycle of gender violence,” said Bea Black, Executive Director for the WCA.

The cost of exterior design/wrap itself was sponsored by some very special WCA donor—so there was no cost incurred by the City of Boise or the WCA. Please join us if you can on February 1st for a short unveiling ceremony in front of the building.
