Working at the WCA has reinforced in me the concept of setting healthy boundaries and how important it is to have them. I was talking with my wonderful team about this post this month and we want to be sure that you, our donors and volunteers, understand that we respect your boundaries. With so much tragedy and contention in the national news recently, we understand if you need to take a break from the intensity of our mission and be kind to yourself.
As the WCA ramps up to our busiest season, we will be asking you and the community for support and offering myriad opportunities to engage with the WCA. If you aren’t in a place where you want to help or engage with an opportunity, we respect that. We will have other opportunities and hope that you will join us when you can. Please let us know how best to communicate with you in support of your boundaries. The WCA’s vision is to foster a community where individuals thrive in safe, healthy relationships and this includes your relationship with us. On behalf of the Philanthropy Team – Jennifer Spencer, Eli Griffin and Ellie Wallis – I wish you well and look forward to seeing you when you’re ready.
