Bev Le ChanceFor the past twelve years, the Idaho State Treasurer’s office has hosted the “Smart Women, Smart Money” conference. This free conference focuses on providing financial education and information to women in all stages of their lives. In 2014, it will be held in Boise on February 13th at the Boise Centre.  This all-day event is packed full of important information and hands-on learning. As the web-site states, “It’s for every woman who is ready to take action.”  For the past two years, the conference has hosted a noon-time graduation ceremony for women who have completed a financial literacy course facilitated by the Treasure Valley Economic Action Program (TVEAP). This collaborative of domestic violence-focused agencies strives to empower women to achieve financial independence and economic self-determination. It’s a new beginning for the graduates and a time to celebrate their success.  Attend the “Smart Women, Smart Money” conference and drop in and support our TVEAP graduates.
