The Women’s and Children’s Alliance has an exciting opportunity for junior high school, high school, and college students! The WCA is hosting a Public Service Announcement Contest for any student to enter. The focus of the contest is to encourage peer education about the topics of domestic abuse, teen dating abuse, and healthy relationships. We are asking students to submit 29-second PSA videos about any of these topics by January 30, 2015. The winners of the contest will not only receive a cash prize, but will also have their videos shown by the WCA during all of our high school presentations.

As issues of domestic abuse and teen dating abuse appear more frequently in the news, we believe that is increasingly important for young adults to get the facts and have the tools to maintain healthy relationships. Our hope is that through participation in this project, they will not only help themselves, but also their peers.

For rules and guidelines for this exciting project, as well as to view last year’s winners, please check out our webpage here.
