Dutch Bros. Making a Difference

The WCA welcomes Dutch Bros. as a new Corporate Pillar of the Women’s and Children’s Alliance.  Brian and Libby Wight are the owners of seven Boise area Dutch Bros. Coffee locations. On Friday, June 14th, the WCA was the beneficiary of fundraising during the opening of the new Dutch Bros. at 1181 N. Milwaukee Street. For the entire day, the new Dutch Bros. location offered any medium drink for $1 and donated all of the proceeds to the WCA. By day’s end, the staff at this new location had created an astonishing 4500 cups of coffee and raised $4,500 for the WCA.

The funds raised will go directly to assist the WCA’s licensed childcare program.  This special program allows for residents at the WCA’s secure shelter, Serena’s House, to leave their children in the childcare area so the moms can go to work, look for jobs, attend counseling sessions or other activities needed to help them in their journey to freedom. Childcare, like all of the WCA’s services, is offered to our clients free of charge.

The Wights have displayed great generosity in our community and have sponsored various local causes since arriving in Boise in 2007.
