Every month innumerable requests are received from community individuals seeking counseling. These individuals may report a recent victimization or a past incident that remains vivid. Individual counseling offers, within a confidential setting, the opportunity to express feelings, thoughts, and fears. Counselors are nonjudgmental and help individuals process traumatic memories or experiences that may be creating anxiety. Reclaiming a life that is free from violence wherein respect, trust and love are present is possible – counseling is an important tool in facilitating healing.
