WCA Corporate Pillars

The purpose of this page is to provide easy access to content that will help businesses engage with the WCA. If you are in a corporate giving team or advocate, first of all thank you! Service Statement: The WCA offers wrap-around, trauma informed services to survivors of domestic abuse and sexual assault. All services are provided free of charge to the community.

Statistics

Corporate Pillar Impact:

  • In the past 5 years, Corporate Pillars have contributed nearly $2 million in monetary and in-kind support to the WCA
  • Last fiscal year from July 2021 – June 2022, our Corporate Pillars contributed nearly $300,000 through monetary and in-kind pledges to the WCA

Helpful Statistics:

  • A non-consensual sex offense occurs every 5.8 seconds in Idaho
  • In 2022 the WCA provided:
    • 8,808 safe bed nights
    • 1,691 assisted court sessions
    • 2,336 counseling sessions
    • Over 20,000 services
  • On a single day in Idaho 670 survivors of domestic abuse sought safety and services
  • 8 million days of paid work are estimated to be lost each year as a result of domestic violence in the U.S. (Bureau of Labor Services)
  • 71% of surveyed employees say it’s very important to work at a company that supports giving and volunteering (Re:charity 2023)
  • For every 100 women in your workplace, approximately 33 have experienced physical violence from an intimate partner (National Coalition Against Domestic Violence)
  • For every 100 men in your workplace, approximately 25 have experienced physical violence from an intimate partner (National Coalition Against Domestic Violence)
