A Night at the Oscars with the WCA

Oscar Party PhotoOn Sunday February 22nd, the Women’s and Children’s Alliance was the beneficiary of a very special event, “Evening at the Oscar” at the Village Cinema in Meridian. We were thrilled to be part of this fun evening of glamour and entertainment and appreciate all those who attended. In addition to great food, and the Oscars live broadcast on many large screens, the evening’s activities also included a silent auction, including donated gift items from RC Willey, The Village at Meridian, Corner Bakery, Coppola Winery and Hayden Beverage, Lynee Nosewothy, the Tilted Kilt and KBOI.

Special thanks to the The Village at Meridian, Journal Broadcasting and The Village Cinema for its incredible support and compassion for the WCA’s work in the community.

Our student PSA contest winner from Boise High School, Megan Schuessler, was our special guest for the evening. Following the Oscars, her PSA was premiered and she was interviewed live on the “Idaho on Your Side” newscast. Check out the amazing interview here!
