Avenues for Hope 2023

24-Hour Domestic Violence Hotline: 208.343.7025 24-hour Rape Crisis Hotline: 208.345.7273 (RAPE)

December brings the holiday season and for the WCA, it also marks the start of this year’s Avenues for Hope Campaign on December 12. Avenues for Hope brings a spotlight to homelessness in Idaho. We provide safe emergency shelter and transitional housing to women and children who are fleeing situations of domestic abuse, and are the ONLY domestic abuse and sexual assault specific shelter in Ada County.

Domestic abuse continues to be a leading cause of homelessness in Idaho. In 2022, 21.2% of unhoused people cited domestic violence as their primary reason for homelessness in Idaho. We recognize the intersection between domestic abuse and homelessness and are actively working towards closing the gap in our community.

The Avenues for Hope campaign provides not only the opportunity for important outreach but also the opportunity for us to raise vital funds to preserve our safe shelter services. Gifts are welcome throughout the campaign, which runs from December 12—December 31.

You can view our full campaign page here. We are always grateful for your support!
