On the 4th of July we celebrated our freedom as a nation.  No longer governed by others, we became the United States of America, a place that many came to in order to live and worship freely.  As we think about this freedom that we often take for granted, I can’t help but reflect on my own individual freedom.  For me, freedom means being able to make my own decisions and having choices.  It means that while I need to respect others, I do not have to live my life according to their dictates, whims or desires.  I have the ability to live up to my own potential, making the most of my talents and gifts.  For our clients, FREEDOM is what we hope they can achieve.   It may not look the same for each of them, but that is what is special about our work – we try to ensure each of our clients gets the support they need to forge their own way forward and create their own future: a future that provides them with the ability to make choices and live in freedom.  Don’t ever take your personal freedom, or our nation’s freedom for granted – it is worth everything we have to maintain it!
