EXIT

An Update from Bea

24-Hour Domestic Violence Hotline: 208.343.7025 24-hour Rape Crisis Hotline: 208.345.7273 (RAPE)

I am getting out my running shoes, and I hope you will too!

With health and safety as our top priority, we recently made the decision to go completely virtual. I am virtual with our annual SueB 5K/10 coming up on October 4, 2020. As with many events, I will be sad not to see you in person. However, I am registered and I have started my training for the 10K with my running buddy. I am hoping to get some of my family and friends to register as well, and we will be participating in all the virtual fun that the team has planned.

In order to continue the tradition of honoring the memory of Susan “SueB” Newby, our virtual event will still include all the usual festivities such as participating in a virtual warm up, a bib number, a race t-shirt, and digital completion certificate. There will also be some fun courses for you to chose from that follow some great paths throughout the area, passing by some great landmarks to make in memorable and educational. So get your running shoes out and join me in getting some exercise and honoring the memory of SueB while we raise awareness about domestic abuse.

Providing Hope

Store 105 (Love) 04-30-19 c

There are two days left in the Stinker Piece of Hope Outreach and Fundraising Campaign. This amazing effort, which ends on August 1, provides information about six different domestic violence service provides, including program information and 24-hotline numbers, in communities across the state where Stinker Stores are located. They are also raising critical funds for the programs in a time when requests for services are doubling for those being impacted by domestic abuse and sexual assault.

As of the end of July 28, the campaign has raised over $83K. I encourage each one of you to swing by your local Stinker Store and thank them for this amazing support. You never know when someone you care about will be at the point when they might look around and see one of our shoe cards and think, now is the time for me, I need help.

In the words of one Stinker Store Regional Territory Manager, our sincere thank you to all the employees and customers of Stinker Stores across the state for “Raising such a STINK”!
