Clothesline Project 2015

24-Hour Domestic Violence Hotline: 208.343.7025 24-hour Rape Crisis Hotline: 208.345.7273 (RAPE)

We are currently preparing for our annual Clothesline Project. Every year during October, Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we ask local businesses to hang t-shirts that have been decorated by individuals affected by domestic violence. Each year new shirts are painted by our shelter residents, counseling clients, and support group participants. This gives victims and survivors of domestic violence a voice and while demonstrating how this issue impacts our whole community. These shirts display an individual’s pain and fear, but also the hope and healing on the long, difficult road from abuse to freedom.

The WCA is looking for participants in our annual event and if you are interested please contact our Outreach Coordinator, Lauren Pusich, for more information. If you cannot hang shirts, but would still like to support the WCA you can donate fabric paint, painting supplies, and white t-shirts to our downtown office. Thank you for your continued support of the WCA in our efforts to bring safety, healing, and freedom to our community.
