Concert for Cause a Success!

The River 94.9 Concert for CauseDecember 18th Concert for Cause, sponsored by The River/94.9/Journal Broadcast Group and The Knitting Factory and benefitting the Women’s and Children’s Alliance, was a great success. The great Steve McMorran from the band Satellite opened the show, followed by the headliner, nationally acclaimed Tyrone Wells. Net proceeds exceeded $23,000 from ticket sales as well as the live and silent auctions — important funding to help support the WCA’s counseling and secure shelter programs.

We want to especially thank 94.9’s The River’s Tim Johnstone, Ken Bass, Randy Perkins, Brook Bender and coordinator extraordinaire Casey Shelley for all their hard work to make this special evening happen. It was simply magical. We are so appreciative of Journal Broadcast Group’s support of the WCA.
