Corporate Pillar Spotlight

24-Hour Domestic Violence Hotline: 208.343.7025 24-hour Rape Crisis Hotline: 208.345.7273 (RAPE)

The WCA would like to offer a special thank you to one of our amazing Corporate Pillars this month: Chad Case Photography and Video. Chad generously creates and donates the marvelous photos of our WCA TWIN Honorees. Our TWIN honorees  visited Chad’s North End studio to have their portraits taken by Chad and his assistant Jonathan Conti.

Chad Case is a photographer for his time and place.  A native of Boise, Idaho, Chad left for boot camp with the Air National Guard right out of high school.  Graduating with honors from boot camp, he returned to Boise where he began working for a commercial photography studio in town while attending the local university.  After five years in the studio Chad moved to Alaska to pursue adventure, photography, and free living.  In the beautiful Alaskan frontier Chad refined his photography while working exciting jobs like crab fishing in the Bering Sea and fighting wild fires in the summer.  In 2001, after six years of living in a single room cabin with no running water, he and his wife Kathleen decided to move back home to Boise and start a family.  He is the proud father of three little girls, his oldest Annika and his twins Elsa and Olivia.

A family wasn’t the only thing Chad started when he got back to Idaho.  He also started not one, but two companies.  In addition to Chad Case Photography and Video, Chad owns and operates Idaho’s largest stock agency.  Representing over 100 photographers from across the state, Idaho Stock Images houses more than 35,000 images online, providing high quality photos of the gem state to advertising, corporate, and editorial clients worldwide.

Chad specializes in editorial, corporate, travel, advertising, architecture and portrait photography.  He has worked with some the largest companies in Idaho such as Micron, Simplot and St. Luke’s.  Whether it’s from his years of experience, laid back and professional attitude, or because he has dealt with things like boot camp, wildfires, the Bering Sea, and three little girls, Chad’s greatest asset is the calming presence he brings with him to every set.  This comfort and ease during production allows him to capture the real and relaxed looks that his clients have come to appreciate.

Since launching his successful photography career, Chad has been hired to do photography and video work all over the world.  He has worked on location in countries such as Israel, Fiji, Namibia, New Zealand, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Laos, Croatia, Ecuador, Ireland, Egypt, and the Balkan Peninsula.  He has been published in the New York Times, National Geographic Adventure, National Geographic Traveler, Outside, Sunset, Backpacker, National Wildlife and numerous other publications. He is a member of the American Society of Media Photographers, Society of American Travel Writers, Travel Journalist Guild, Nikon Professional,  and National Association of Photoshop Professionals.  He has won the Society of Professional Journalists Excellence in Journalism award twice, the Society of American Travel Writers Photo Shootout and nine SATW Muster travel photography awards.
