gardner_company_revised_08-12-13The Gardner Company is a marvelous corporate sponsor of the WCA. The renovation of our secure shelter ‘s interior, with ESI Construction and many local contractors’ assistance, has meant so much to the women and children at the shelter. New carpeting and flooring and other updating in the family room and hallway area brighten up their days.

8thandmainOn February 15th, Gardner Company will open its latest building venture, the remarkable 8th & Main building in downtown Boise, with free festivities beginning at 1 pm, including face painting, a photo booth and a most excellent concert featuring the internationally acclaimed musicians the Goo Goo Dolls and the great Allen Stone. Filling in the downtown “hole” has been a long-term project for the city and a wonderful accomplishment for Gardner Company, with 20 new businesses moving into the building. The businesses will provide a needed boost to the downtown area.

Gardner’s Chief Operating Officer, Tommy Ahlquist, toured Serena’s House in the fall of 2012 while helping his son define a senior project for school. Together, they decided it was a priority project to help update the facility.

“Thomas looked at me and said, ‘Dad, we are going to help these people!’ and he made the remodel his top priority. For Thomas and our family, we know that the WCA makes a tremendous difference in the lives of those they serve where it matters most, in times of significant need and despair and we are honored as a family to help the WCA in any way.” – Tommy Ahlquist

We are extremely grateful to Gardner Company for its support of the WCA. We wish Tommy and his staff the best in the big 8th & Main opening over Valentine’s weekend. Gardner Company is a truly valuable supporter as one of our important Corporate Pillars.
