Donor Spotlight: Girls Give Thanks Party

Girls Give Back PartyAnyone can give back to the WCA in thoughtful and wonderful ways. Rachel Tory and Cate Wile are just one example of this. These girls were inspired to have a birthday party theme of putting together “Tween” gift baskets for our shelter. They called it a “Girls Give Thanks” party instead of a birthday party. These girls did not ask for birthday gifts, but rather each girl brought a gift bag for clients at our shelter. Each girl’s bag was filled with beauty products, shirts with empowering messages and books. All items each girl hand-picked and included a note explaining why they choose the items they did. These letters were addressed to a “friend” and also included other words of wisdom. We are so inspired by these 28 girls who came from all over the Boise area. These girls were primarily students from Longfellow, but a few were from Riverstone, Sage and St. Joe’s. Rachel and Cate remind us that we can all give back!
