Donor Spotlight: Meet Sena

24-Hour Domestic Violence Hotline: 208.343.7025 24-hour Rape Crisis Hotline: 208.345.7273 (RAPE)

Sena Stillman, high school sophomore, raised $647 for the WCA

 Q. How did you come up with your idea?

Well, I was thinking about how Christmas was coming up and how there are so many people who need help.  I realized that why should I be getting more gifts when there are still people who are struggling.  So I knew I had to do something to help.

My mother always sends out Christmas cards to her many friends.  After thinking for awhile that we should remind people to donate during Christmas time, we decided to take it a step further.  Together my mother and I addressed 120 letters that had the WCA address on it and put them in with the Christmas cards we sent out.

Q.  Why did you choose the WCA?

While I haven’t had much experience with the WCA, my stepfather has.  He told me about what a good organization it was.  Another factor was how much it would actually help the people.  I was so glad I could help!

“Why I Give”

I hate to think about the struggles some people have to face.  By helping them I hope to eliminate some of these struggles.
