FamilyI count my lucky stars that my job is so awesome and personally rewarding. I have the great fortune to engage with current and potential corporate sponsors that truly impact the funding and services to help our clients. An important aspect of my job that cannot be left out is finding potential in-kind Corporate Pillars. We wanted to take a moment to highlight several In-Kind Corporate Pillars that truly make a different in our ability to provide life-changing services.

Schroeder Creative – Mike Schroeder provides us pro bono with incredible graphic design for our marketing materials, event programs and collateral to meet countless other marketing, communications and donor relations needs as they arise throughout the year. The list of what Mike has done and plans to do for the WCA is as impressive as it is long. Our communications team and WCA staff is constantly impressed by the work that Mike does for us.

Capitol Copy & Print – Vern and his staff provide us with substantially reduced rates to print our shoe cards, programs and posters. Our hope is to have every member of the Treasure Valley carry one of our shoe cards and this goal would not be possible without Capitol Copy’s help.

Lamar Advertising – Larry and his staff provide support, including creative design and billboard space throughout the Boise area to promote the WCA’s services and to educate about domestic abuse. The billboards are phenomenal in message by highlighting the different forms of abuse that can occur in an unhealthy relationship. These billboards are essential in engaging potential clients in getting assistance.

Western Trophy & Engraving – This amazing team provides the WCA with our annual TWIN Awards, contributes to our Corporate Pillars recognition awards and produces a personalized name badge for each new WCA Ambassador. Their in-kind donations allow us to properly recognize the great work that members of our community do for the WCA.

In the Bag Promotions – Lori, Dan and their staff provide the WCA with branded shirts, banners and other outreach materials for our staff at a discount or at no cost as part of their yearly sponsorship. When we engage in the community it is essential that we have professional outreach material and In the Bag ensures that this is possible at a low cost to us.

Combined, these Corporate Pillars save us tens of thousands of dollars a year allowing for us to put our resources towards best serving our clients on their journeys to safety, healing and freedom. With their help we are able to provide essential outreach and increase awareness around the impact domestic violence and sexual assault has in our community.

As a nonprofit, our most important goal is to provide services to our clients. Each year, we aim to spend .92 of every dollar on providing client services – which leaves a lean margin for the outreach, education and prevention work we know is essential to breaking the cycle of abuse in our community. We are able to expand these efforts without cutting into our client services because of these amazing Corporate Pillars donating to us in-kind.

We wish to thank these amazing partners from our business community and commend them for their compassion for our clients and steadfast dedication to the WCA’s work in the community. Each of our Corporate Pillars makes the world of difference in assisting us provide help for our clients.

Many, many thanks,

Lisa Uhlmann, Corporate Pillars Manager
