We are very honored to have St. Luke’s Health System as a valued Corporate Pillars partner for over 20 years.

St. Luke’s is dedicated to making our community a better place to live and thrive through collaborative partnerships, voluntarism, charity care, capital investments and community services and programs.

Over the past year alone, St. Luke’s has contributed funding and provided critical support to our education and counseling programs, for the nutritional needs of the children in our childcare and has assisted some clients transition into new homes with the basic items they need to begin a new life, free from the cycle of abuse.

Here are just a few examples of the amazing support from St. Luke’s and their employees:

  • In 2015, St Luke’s awarded the WCA with a grant supporting over 300 counseling sessions for children.
  • In May 2015, St. Luke’s and Create Common Good partnered to provide healthy and nutritious snacks each week for the WCA’s childcare and Serena’s House shelter.
  • In 2016, St. Luke’s CHIF awarded a grant is supporting the WCA’s Financial Literacy program.
  • In January, St. Luke’s employees, former WCA TWIN honorees, came together to provide a new crib for a Mom in our shelter as she was preparing to move into a new, safe home with her children, including a newborn baby

St Luke’s Director of Community Relations Theresa McLeod explains why such great support for the WCA. “The Women and Children’s Alliance uniquely provides critical services and support for our community’s most vulnerable women and children. For more than twenty years, St. Luke’s has partnered with the WCA, through grants, board engagement and volunteer support, ensuring its evidence-based programs and services continue.”

The staff and clients of the Women’s and Children’s Alliance are incredibly grateful for the ongoing support from St. Luke’s in our efforts to help those impacted by abuse and to foster  a community where individuals thrive in safe, healthy relationships.
