Linda Linked inWe have some amazing staff here at the WCA and we would like to take a moment and feature just one of them!

What is your name?

My full name is Linda Davidson-Gafford

What is your job title at the WCA?

HR Admin Manager at WCA

What do you do in your job at the WCA?

I provide HR support for Managers and Staff, supervise admin team, provide training and development for staff, manage recruitment, selection and onboarding, employee relations, and additional projects as needed.

How long have you been with the WCA?

I have only been here for a little two months.

Where did you work prior to joining the WCA team?

I was the Business Services Supervisor for Goodwill Central Coast in San Luis Obispo, CA prior to this.

What do you find most rewarding about your work at the WCA?

I feel that this is a rewarding work environment because it feels purposeful to a bigger picture, it is about more than my life or my success, it is an investment in others around us.

How have you changed or grown as a person through your work here?

I feel that my work here will help me grow as a person because we work for others who are in crisis, and hopefully our service in that capacity will make a difference in their lives.

Is there a memorable moment or story that you’d like to share that you have experienced at the WCA?

A memorable moment was one of my first Board meetings when Sunday the trauma dog was here.  She does noble work with people who really need someone or something to lean on, and I thought it was really nice to know that there is a program out there that raises and trains these dogs to provide so much to people in need.  I hope that Boise gets more dogs like Sunday to help victims get through the tough process that they go through.
